Summary

As part of the CSW65 Virtual NGO CSW Forum, WLP brought together leading women's rights advocates for a discussion on reforming discriminatory family laws that limit women’s access to financial independence and stability, including inheritance laws, property rights, early marriage, travel restrictions, access to education, and more. Without equal access to economic opportunities, women cannot have full and effective participation and decision-making in public and private life. Panelists shared their experiences in successful legal reforms and discuss strategies for building coalitions for change.
