Gender Discrimination

This video was produced by the Association of Democratic Women in Morocco (ADFM) and calls out the various types of gender discrimination around the world, such as the high rates of violence against women, the gender pay gap in the workplace, and the burden of domestic work that disproportionately affects women. The video calls for robust campaigns for women’s rights so that laws without discrimination can be put in place.

The Arab Charter on Human Rights (ACHR) was adopted by the Council of the League of Arab States in 2004 and affirms the principles contained in the UN Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenants on Human Rights, and the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam.
