Summary

WLP's 2019 promotional video spotlights our major initiatives and recent successes in advancing women's human rights and leadership in the Global South.

WLP is an international network of nearly 20 autonomous women’s rights nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) based in the Global South, primarily in transitioning and fragile states, dedicated to enhancing universal human rights and gender equality, strengthening civil society, and training and supporting women and youth to become leaders and advocates for a just, peaceful, and democratic world. The mission of WLP is to develop and promote a participatory vision and practice of leadership by building the capacities of feminist women’s rights organizations. We hold universal human rights, gender equality, and democratic cultures and institutions to be indispensable to sustainable, peaceful development.
