Afghanistan's National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325 Women, Peace and Security, 2015-2022

Part of a series of interviews focusing on best practices for activists and human rights organizations with speakers and panelists of WLP's "2020 Vision" event, itself part of the 2010 annual session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York City. 

This session considers why some violence is universally abhorrent and what links these acts to violations of human rights, explores why rape is considered a war crime and is never justified, and discusses women's roles in violent conflict and their right to be part of peace negotiations and post-conflict decision making.
