Summary

As part of the 66th Commission on the Status of Women WLP and Cepia brought together climate and gender activists from four continents for a global dialogue on climate justice. The event explored how to address the injustices faced by women and other marginalized communities due to environmental degradation and ways to support women-led climate initiatives at the local, national, and international levels. Panelists discussed new leadership structures needed to save our communities from catastrophic climate disasters and ensure the knowledge of women, indigenous populations, and young people are central to building safe and sustainable futures for us all.
