This year you can attend WLP’s CSW65 parallel events from anywhere in the world. The United Nation’s 65th Commission on the Status of Women will be held virtually and we invite you to attend events hosted by WLP and our partners on a range of issues impacting women's human rights.

How to join the events:

1) Registering as an NGO CSW65 Virtual Forum Advocate.

  • Once logged in, reserve your spot on the NGO CSW65 Virtual Forum event pages

Root Causes of Women’s Economic Inequality: Discriminatory Family Laws

WLP will bring together leading women's rights advocates for a discussion on reforming discriminatory family laws that limit women’s access to financial independence and stability, including inheritance laws, property rights, early marriage, travel restrictions, access to education, and more. Panelists will share their experiences in successful legal reforms and discuss strategies for building coalitions for change.

"Amman Principles" for the National Mechanisms for Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment

Equality in Family Law: Committing to Reform

This side event will reflect the urgent need for commitments on repealing or amending all discriminatory family laws. Speakers will share examples of recent progress and successful strategies for family law reform.
