In May 2021, Morocco adopted a New Development Model, which outlines comprehensive reforms in education, health, agriculture, investment, and taxation. In response to the report, which was authored by a male-dominated committee, the Democratic Association of Women in Morroco (ADFM) has submitted an Appeal for the report to be gender-inclusive and respect civil society and human rights. 

The Appeal Asks: “If the suggested “New Model of Development” should, as it seems, be subject to a “new” consensus among the various political partners, what would be the destiny of the Democratic Project of the country and of the status of Moroccan women?”
