WLP’s resources for trainers are designed to train trainers, facilitators, teachers, heads of organizations and others on how to employ inclusive, participatory, and horizontal leadership in their daily activities, and how to teach others to do the same.
Our multimedia facilitator’s toolkit was developed as a companion toolkit for trainers using our Leading to Choices in a multisession, workshop setting. The Multimedia Toolkit for Leadership Learning includes three videos and booklet guides on effective communication, interactive facilitation, and advocacy for change. It has been used to train thousands of NGO leaders and activists. The toolkit is available in multiple languages, including Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, English, French, Persian, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu.
Also available are books on facilitating human rights education, and excerpted chapters from WLP’s manuals that cover principles and strategies for participatory learning. You will find guidance on how to set your session objectives, structure the learning environment, introduce curriculum, explore case studies, facilitate workshop exercises, and coordinate a workshop evaluation process.
While each of WLP’s manuals can be used as stand-alone curriculum for a multisession workshop, their sessions can be used individually or mixed and matched for different learning purposes. For this reason, in our Learning Center we also provide excerpted sessions, and several examples of customized lesson plans used by experienced WLP trainers.
