Currently, there are an estimated 4.5 million registered Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey, the three main countries where Syrian refugees have taken refuge. Women refugees bear the brunt of the displacement and the panel will discuss how NGOs in the region can support and empower them through leadership trainings and skills building. At this CSW parallel event, expert panelists will draw on their experiences working with refugees and grassroots women in these countries.
