The Power of Partnership (video, Portuguese)

The Women's Learning Partnership (WLP) was inspired by the 1995 Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, where the world witnessed the passion and determination of women advocating for change. Established to combat gendered inequalities and injustices globally, WLP has dedicated 25  years to empowering grassroots organizations and promoting women's leadership, civic engagement, and human rights across the Global South.

We Are All Afghanistan: Afghan Women Leaders Reflect on the Past and the Way Forward (video, English)

On October 15, 2021, WLP hosted a discussion with Former Minister for Women’s Affairs in Afghanistan Sima Samar and Former Governor of Bamyan Province Habiba Sarabi, moderated by Former UNFPA Executive Director Thoraya Obaid and WLP Founder and President Mahnaz Afkhami. The discussion focused on their experiences as women leaders and human rights advocates in Afghanistan and what can be done to support women and girls.

WLP Lebanon Holds Workshops to Empower Syrian Women Refugees

Women's Learning Partnership

Women’s Learning Partnership is conducting capacity building workshops in Lebanon with refugee women of diverse ages and educational levels as part of the Empowering Syrian Refugee Women for a Better Future project. The project addresses the staggering humanitarian crisis that has forced 4.5 million registered Syrian refugees to flee in Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey, among other countries.
