Suheir Azzouni, gender and development consultant, discusses the long and ultimately successful advocacy campaign that she helped spearhead against a law instituted by the Palestinian Authority (PA) that prohibited women from traveling out of the country without permission from a male guardian. Azzouni describes the strategies used to build a diverse coalition against the law and how to leverage presence of international media for their advantage.
