About the Interviewee* 

Ho Yock Lin (Malaysia) is a long-time activist for women’s rights, Co-founder and President of All Women’s Action Society (AWAM). During the 1980s, she served with a number of NGOs, including the Women Section and the Human Rights Committee of the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, and the Sabah Women Action Resource Group (SAWO). Ho is a member of the Women’s Development Collective (WDC) primarily responsible for capacity building and training projects. She speaks on issues such as sexual harassment, rape, child sexual abuse, and women in leadership. Ho works with Gabungan Bertindak Malaysia (GBM), a coalition of over 20 NGOs working for the betterment of Malaysia.
