Hafsat Abiola

Abiola-Costello is a Nigerian human, civil, and democracy rights activist and founder of Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND), an organization that works to promote civil society and strengthen democracy in Nigeria. She is also president of the Women In Africa Initiative (WIA), an international platform that supports African women entrepreneurs, and she helped found Connected Women Leaders (CWL). Both of her parents were political activists in Nigeria who were killed for their efforts, and much of Hafsat’s work is done in their honor. She is one of 50 councilors of the World Future Council; and a member of BMW Foundation’s Responsible Leaders Group, Vital Voices 100 and the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders alumni community.
