The Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP) is organizing a symposium entitled, “Cultural Boundaries & Cyber Spaces: Innovative Tools and Strategies for Strengthening Women’s Leadership in Muslim Societies,” on June 1, 2000, in collaboration with the Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies at New York University. This is a foundational event of Women’s Learning Partnership organization.

The purpose is to provide a highly interactive forum for women to share knowledge and discuss ways of building leadership capability through culture sensitive strategies using innovative tools and modern technology. Speakers will include influential women leaders in politics, civil society, media and information and communications technologies (ICTs), from Muslim societies and elsewhere.
