About the Interviewee* 

Mma Odi (Nigeria) Mma Odi was Executive Director of BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights, and Executive Director of the Rural Women’s Empowerment and Development Network. She served as Program Mentor for the European Union INSIDE Program, Assistant secretary General of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, National Project Coordinator of Women in Nigeria/Heinrich Boll Foundation Rural Women Political and Economic Empowerment Project. She consults for Ministry of Women’s affairs at both Federal and State levels. Odi has held leadership positions in many social movements, coalitions, networks and feminist organizations. She is the author of The Power of Women’s Collective Struggle.
