Equal Rights Amendment of the United States of America, 1972.

The Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution (ERA) passed Congress in 1972, but was not ratified by the necessary 38 states by the July 1982 deadline. It was ratified by 35 states. The US Constitution does not explicitly protect women's and men's equality.
