Karima Bennoune

Karima Bennoune (Algeria/USA) is the United Nations Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights and a professor of international law at the University of California–Davis School of Law. 

Yakin Ertürk

Yakin Ertürk (Turkey), is the Research Director for WLP's Family Law Reform initiative. She has held numerous international human rights mandates including Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women.

Ann Elizabeth Mayer

Ann Mayer (USA) is an expert in international human rights law and a former Associate Professor of Legal Studies and Business Ethics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Joy Ngwakwe

Joy Ngwakwe (Nigeria) is the Founder and Executive Director of WLP's Nigeria partner, Center for Advancement of Development Rights (CEADER). 

Jacqueline Pitanguy

Jacqueline Pitanguy (Brazil) is the Founder and Executive Director of WLP's Brazil Partner, CEPIA. 

Please join us in launching WLP's global advocacy campaign for our multi-country initiative, Family Law Reform to Challenge Gender Based Violence. We invite you to watch the premiere of our new documentary film, Equality: It's All in the Family and join our discussion on the impact of discriminatory family laws on women and societies around the world. This campaign was carried out with the aid of a grant from the International Development Research Centre, Ottawa, Canada.

Panelists will include Karima Bennoune (Algeria/USA), Yakin Ertürk (Turkey), Ann Mayer (USA), Joy Ngwakwe (Nigeria), and Jacqueline Pitanguy (Brazil).
