In honor of International Human Rights Day, WLP will screen Human Rights: The Unfinished Journey, our new documentary on the marginalization of human rights across the world, at Busboys and Poets (Takoma), Washington, DC.
WLP and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies will present a day-long event examining and re-imagining the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the foundation for global security and sustainable development. Sessions will include conversation, poetry, film, and music, with a special screening of WLP's film, Human Rights: The Unfinished Journey.
This session explores the link between human rights and a compassionate society, examines the morality of pluralism, and considers where and how we can transform towards a compassionate society.
This session explores strategies for improving dialogue, provides practice in areas of active listening and respectful communication, and considers the impact of empathy in addressing human rights and resolving conflict.
