Founding Member, Association of African Women for Research and Development
Zenebework Tadesse (Ethiopia) is a founding member and the first Executive Director of the Association of African Women for Research and Development (AAWORD). She is also a founding member of the Forum for Social Sciences in Ethiopia. Tadesse is a sociologist and activist who has conducted significant research on gender and democratization across Africa as well as on women’s land rights.
